This was a quick trip that came up empty. Was in search of hangers... Looking to upgrade the plastic hangers in my closet to the thin non-slip ones...they didn't have the colour I wanted...



In unrelated Homesense news...Michael's has just opened up downtown on Alberni...now that's a crafter's dream come true! Although I personally would not shop downtown(horrific parking).

My Verdict: Praiseworthy. This post really should be a recent finds...Nordstrom...however I ordered this months ago and have just received it now. Special thanks to C for bringing it over

Back to loving Chanel...I first found out about this on Cafe Makeup...Free gift with purchase! Who doesn't love that! As an avid reader I was desperate to have this bookmark! I was so devastated when I couldn't find this locally.

So I contacted Tressa from the Nordstrom Seattle location to place my order, and while I wouldn't necessarily order by email/phone(shipping costs are horrendous!) again I will most definately shop with Tressa if I'm in Seattle. Chanel makeup always has special gift with purchases, I highly recommend finding a sales associate who will keep you in the loop.

I immediately snatached it up. Was not happy with the pricing as two days later it went to 40% off. After shipping prices and duties/taxes the dress totaled more than regular price. If you live in the States and are able to get this sans added cost, it's definately worth it!

The Divergent Trilogy...Insurgent

My Verdict: Praiseworthy. After re-reading book one Divergent, I ran out and purchased Insurgent. Can not wait for the third installment! Plus there's a movie in the works...fantasy casting anyone???
On a side note, I purchased my book from Book Warehouse. Only 1 Book Warehouse location remains. All others have been closed. They now are linked with Black Bond Books who have kept the name Book Warehouse for the Broadway location.

My Verdict: Praiseworthy. For a recent work trip I decided to pick up a travel bag. I googled several sites for suggestions and it was down to availability and overall look. I wanted something professional that I could use for work, but also something I could travel with on regular trips. I narrowed it down 2 two Longchamp totes. The Planetes tonal and the Le Pilage. I decided on the Le Pilage in the end because it folds away, is water resistant, affordable and practical. I found mine at Betty Hemmings on Hornby in Vancouver.
